I believe life’s privilege is to take the time to tap into our strengths, talents, and potential, by slowing down, taking in our surroundings, and forming lifelong connections with others who support our endeavors. I coach toward these goals using the principles of emotional intelligence. Often, our solutions lie in awareness of our own emotions and self-perceptions (our lens) in relation to the emotions and perceptions of others with whom we interact. Whether in a personal setting or a professional one, working within this process is at the heart of success.
I have both a BA and MS degree in Psychology and have been intuitive coaching for over twenty years. I have coached parents, managers, business owners, and individuals with goals of organization, time management, and weight loss as well as personal and creative endeavors. Emotional Intelligence was at the heart of success for all of these clients.
As a young adult I found it hard to make friends and connect. I had the privilege of meeting someone who helped me see how my interactions were negatively impacting myself and others. Essentially, she opened my eyes to Emotional Intelligence (EI). I have been using the tools I learned for decades, and they are tried and true for success. EI was the key that unlocked the door, and I have since become passionate about handing that key to others.
I had the opportunity to walk through a potential major career change with Debbie. She helped me clarify key concerns and identify the positives, all while navigating some big emotions. Her knowledge and guidance helped me make the jump to my new career, and I have never been happier!

Debbie made me feel comfortable from the very start. She asked great questions and really helped me to put my thoughts and ideas into greater focus. She encouraged me to develop concrete steps to get where I wanted to be and guided me to get there from within.

Debbie helped remind me that my kids won't remember the sink full of dishes but they will remember me spending time coloring and reading to them. I remind myself of this often when I want to do it ALL. Talking to Debbie is like talking to an old friend about life...getting a fresh perspective from an outside source is so valuable.

I am so grateful for Debbie's services! Through our focused conversations, she helped me process through the hangups I had that were keeping me from taking the next steps in my weight loss journey. With her counsel and support, I was able to successfully lose over 60 pounds last year and keep it off.

Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Coaching with me entails a more focused conversation than you may have ever had. I ask very pointed questions and use engaged listening to hear what you may not be saying and get to the heart of the matter more efficiently.
EI coaching involves looking within before looking outward. While EI may seem like it is only important in connecting with others, it is just as important in connecting with your own confidence, power, and motivation.
The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process. However, you will see an increase in your Emotional Intelligence from the very first session.
The first and foremost concept I start with is the slow down. Pause, give yourself a minute to really examine your own perceptions and talk about what you think others perceive of you, this is often where the disconnect begins.
Your success is my success. Using my varied life/work experience, I ask insightful questions to collaborate with you in discovering the solutions best fitted to your individual talents, skills and emotional strengths.
